This was a good encounter for two well matched teams to conclude their league campaigns.

With good passing play, both teams had opportunities to score a winner, but in the end a draw was a fair result.

After making a bright start, United looked comfortable sitting back and attacking on the counter.

Both team’s overseers felt that the edge was taken off the game slightly, by the odd bit of moaning and and grumbling over disputed decisions and appeals. But these were quickly sorted out and overall it was still a very good match.

Vineyard took the lead, A good passing move was finished off with a well placed shot from leading scorer Ollie Huckle.

At this point the Green’s were looking good for all three points, but United’s equaliser wasn’t long in coming.

A Dave Senior corner was drilled in low and flicked in by the Claret’s skipper Kallum Brewer. Surprisingly, this is Kallum’s first ever goal in Fellowship Football.
